How I Converted a Personal Size Planner to a Wallet

In an effort to keep things together while on the go, I switched from a standard size wallet into a Kate Spade Wellesley planner. I must say it’s worked out perfectly. There’s a spot for everything and I receive compliments all the time during checkout.

Bank & Storage Card Storage

The first thing I did was to purchase some business card inserts* from Amazon. I use them to store all of my bank and loyalty cards. The Day Runner inserts are my favorite but I also purchased these Day Timer* inserts which work just as great! I recommend them both.

Next, I purchased some inserts from AnniePlansPrintables. Her shop sells several different layouts but I actually purchased the personal size “lists” printable so that I could write down to do’s on the go. Annie also sells a ton of differently sized printables so even if you aren’t using a Kate Spade you can get another size that fits your planner perfectly.

After that, I made some cash envelopes. Now, I first heard of cash envelopes from a Dave Ramsey group I’m a part of and I decided to make some in hopes of managing some of the categories I tend to overspend. Finally, the last section in my wallet is just a Recollections zip pouch from Michaels, which as you can tell I just use to keep my loose change, keys or any loose items. The back of the planner also has a pen loop and a small pocket for some extra storage.
